Stony Shore
Stony Shore is a biome in Minecraft. Mobs that spawn here include Creeper, Slime, Spider, Zombie, and Skeleton.

Stony Shore (Stone Beach) is a coastal biome consisting almost entirely of stone and gravel, forming in places where sandy beaches would typically appear. It generates alongside mountainous or plateau terrain where erosion values are low, which means it frequently borders rugged highland biomes rather than gentler lowland ones. Those same low erosion conditions also make it common to find the Deep Dark cave biome lurking beneath a Stony Shore.
The landscape of a Stony Shore tends to drop steeply from the inland cliffs down toward the bordering ocean, with long ribbons of gravel running beside exposed stone faces. At elevations above roughly Y=120, snow can settle on the higher points even when the shore sits next to warmer biomes. One practical benefit of this biome is that ore veins are often exposed directly on the surface, making Stony Shore a convenient spot for gathering raw materials without needing to dig far underground. In Bedrock Edition, buried treasure can occasionally generate at higher altitudes here, though this feature does not appear in Java Edition.
The Stony Shore is capable of generating across any temperature zone, which can produce striking visual contrasts when it sits between snowy tundra and arid desert biomes. At night, the standard roster of hostile mobs spawns across the rocky terrain, while Glow Squids inhabit the waters below the shore. Despite its barren appearance, the biome rewards explorers with surface-level resources and interesting geological variety.
