Snowy Beach is a biome in Minecraft. Mobs that spawn here include Creeper, Slime, Spider, Zombie, and Skeleton.
The Snowy Beach (Cold Beach) is a frozen variant of the standard beach biome found along coastlines in the coldest regions of the Overworld. It generates wherever temperatures are low enough to prevent normal snowfall from melting, typically bordering biomes such as snowy plains, ice spikes, snowy taigas, and regular taigas. Frozen rivers may cut across the terrain, and icebergs from nearby frozen oceans can begin appearing close to the shoreline.

Despite its icy appearance, the Snowy Beach shares the same basic structure as an ordinary beach — a layer of sand sitting atop sandstone. What sets it apart is the accumulation of snow on the sandy surface and the freezing of adjacent water into ice. Turtles, which commonly inhabit warmer beaches, do not spawn here. In Bedrock Edition, rabbits can occasionally be found wandering across the snow-dusted sands. Structures like shipwrecks and buried treasure chests can still generate within the Snowy Beach, making exploration worthwhile despite the cold.

The Snowy Beach has a distinctive visual identity among coastal biomes. Its pale, frost-covered sands and icy surroundings give it a stark, wintry atmosphere unlike any other shoreline environment in the game. When Vibrant Visuals are enabled, the biome receives a pronounced cold color grading that shifts the environment toward icy blue tones, accompanied by cold sunlight that appears slightly brighter during dusk and dawn, enhancing the chilly coastal mood.
