Polished Cinnabar is a decorative block that represents the smooth, refined form of standard cinnabar, distinguished by its uniform, polished surface compared to the rougher texture of its base counterpart. Like other members of the polished stone family, Polished Cinnabar carries a reddish hue that renders as COLOR_RED on in-game maps, giving it a distinctive appearance suited to warm-toned builds.

To obtain Polished Cinnabar, players can arrange four cinnabar blocks in a 2×2 pattern on a crafting table, receiving four polished blocks in return. Alternatively, a single cinnabar block fed through a stonecutter converts directly into one Polished Cinnabar, offering a precise one-to-one yield. Mining Polished Cinnabar requires any pickaxe tier; attempting to break it without a pickaxe produces no drop. Its hardness of 1.5 and blast resistance of 6 place it in a durability range comparable to similar polished stone-family blocks.

Polished Cinnabar also serves as a crafting hub within the broader cinnabar block family. On a crafting table it can be used to produce cinnabar bricks, polished cinnabar slabs, polished cinnabar stairs, and polished cinnabar walls. When processed through a stonecutter, Polished Cinnabar unlocks additional derivative forms including chiseled cinnabar, along with slabs, stairs, walls, and the full cinnabar brick sub-family. This versatility makes it a practical intermediate material for anyone working extensively with cinnabar-based construction.
