Polished Cinnabar Slab
Polished Cinnabar Slab is a block in Minecraft. It can be crafted.
Polished Cinnabar Slab is a decorative half-block that functions as the slab form of polished cinnabar. Like other slabs in Minecraft, it can be positioned in either the upper or lower half of a block space. Placing two Polished Cinnabar Slab pieces in the same block space will combine them into a full double slab. It also supports waterlogging, making it a versatile choice for builds that incorporate water features.
In terms of durability, Polished Cinnabar Slab has a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 6, giving it a reasonable level of sturdiness for a decorative block. It must be mined with a pickaxe of any tier — mining it without one yields nothing. The block does not emit any light and is completely non-flammable, posing no fire risk even when placed near lava.
Crafting Polished Cinnabar Slab requires arranging three polished cinnabar blocks in a horizontal row, which produces six slabs per craft. Alternatively, a stonecutter can be used with either cinnabar or polished cinnabar as input, yielding two slabs per block and making it a more resource-efficient production method. When a note block is placed directly on top of a Polished Cinnabar Slab, it produces a bass drum sound, which can be useful for players building musical contraptions or redstone instruments.
