Happy Ghast

Happy Ghast is a passive counterpart of the ghast that can be harnessed and ridden by up to four players at once as a flying mount. Unlike regular ghasts, happy ghasts are friendly creatures that follow players holding snowballs or harnesses, making them valuable companions for aerial transportation and exploration. They spawn by waterlogging dried ghasts for approximately 20 minutes, transforming into ghastlings before maturing into adults.

Happy ghasts can only be obtained through the dried ghast hydration process, as they cannot be bred naturally. Ghastlings take 20 minutes to mature into rideable adults, though feeding them snowballs accelerates this growth significantly. Happy ghasts regenerate health naturally, with faster healing rates at cloud level or during precipitation. They roam within a 64-block radius of their home location when unharnessed.

When equipped with a harness, happy ghasts become powerful flying mounts that move at 5 blocks per second and support up to four simultaneous riders. The pilot controls movement using standard directional inputs, while passengers occupy remaining seats. Happy ghasts can carry leashed entities underneath them for transport and become stationary platforms when players dismount, allowing construction at high altitudes. Their unique mechanics make them essential for advanced aerial gameplay and transportation.
