Loyalty
Loyalty is an enchantment in Minecraft. It can be applied up to level 3.
Loyalty is a unique trident enchantment in Minecraft that automatically returns thrown tridents to their owner, eliminating the risk of losing this rare weapon during combat or exploration. This essential enchantment ensures tridents never despawn or become inaccessible after being thrown at enemies or blocks.
Available in three levels, Loyalty affects return speed: Level I returns at 10 blocks per second, Level II at 20 blocks per second, and Level III at 30 blocks per second after a one-second activation delay. Players can obtain Loyalty through enchanting tables, librarian villager trades, fishing for enchanted books, raid drops, and various loot sources.
The returning trident phases through all blocks and entities, traveling in a straight line to its owner. If the player's inventory is full, the trident circles indefinitely until space becomes available. However, Loyalty is incompatible with Riptide enchantment, and tridents thrown into the void in Java Edition are permanently lost despite the enchantment.
