Salmon is a passive aquatic mob found in rivers, oceans, and frozen oceans. It is a common food source and can be caught using a fishing rod or captured in a water bucket for transport. Salmon drop 1 raw Salmon (or cooked Salmon if killed with fire), bones, and 1–3 experience when killed.
Salmon cannot be bred, but they can be caught with a water bucket and placed in custom aquariums or fish farms. Salmon swim in schools, moving in random patterns, and jump above water occasionally. They are hunted by polar bears and axolotls, making them a key part of the aquatic food chain. When placed on land, Salmon flop around for a few seconds before suffocating.
