Riptide
Riptide is a unique trident enchantment in Minecraft that transforms the weapon into a high-speed transportation tool, launching players through water and rain instead of functioning as a throwable projectile. This mobility-focused enchantment revolutionizes underwater exploration and rainy weather travel with incredible speed capabilities.
Riptide propels players using the formula (6 × level) + 3 blocks in rain or surface water, and (4 × level) + 3 blocks underwater. At maximum level III, players can travel up to 21 blocks per launch in optimal conditions. When combined with elytra, Riptide enables speeds up to 125 blocks per second, far exceeding firework rocket propulsion.
Players can obtain Riptide through enchanting tables, librarian villager trades, fishing for enchanted books, raid drops, and various loot sources. However, this enchantment is incompatible with Loyalty and Channeling since the trident never leaves the player's hand. Riptide only functions in water contact or rain, making it essential for ocean exploration and weather-dependent rapid transit.
