Trail Ruins
Trail Ruins are buried archaeological sites introduced in Minecraft 1.20, found deep beneath forested biomes like taiga, jungle, and snowy taiga. These ancient remnants resemble lost villages and are mostly hidden underground, with only the top of a central tower sometimes visible on the surface.
The ruins consist of interconnected roads, buildings, and decorative structures made of terracotta, mud bricks, and stone. The entire site is layered in gravel, dirt, and suspicious gravel, which players can brush to uncover ancient loot. Despite their solid structure and lack of interior rooms, they are rich in hidden items.
Suspicious gravel found throughout the ruins contains both common and rare items. Common loot includes dyes, bricks, candles, and seeds, while rare finds feature pottery sherds, music discs, and exclusive armor trims like Raiser or Wayfinder. These ruins are the only natural source of several decorative blocks and offer a peaceful, exploration-focused challenge for players seeking buried treasures.
